Bentley
Continental Flying Spur

The Bentley Continental Flying Spur
is a four-door variant of the Bentley Continental GT
coupe. The Flying Spur was introduced in 2005, and
is presently Bentley's fastest four-door saloon.
The Flying Spur is equipped with a
6.0L, twin-turbocharged W12 engine producing 552 hp
(412 kW), with a top speed of 195 mph (314 km/h). Permanent
four-wheel drive is standard. As with the Continental
GT, the Flying Spur is built on the Volkswagen Group
D platform. Largely, it could be considered a rebadged
Volkswagen Phaeton with a different styling, and a
more powerful engine, most of the technical components
being identical to those on the Phaeton. The car was
designed by the same team that produced the Continental
GT. |
